Fundraising...see how you can easily help.The Hollies Pre School has always held fundraising events to pay for new toys and equipment, the two main events being our Christmas Fair, and our Teddy Bears Picnic. We also raise money for St Lawrence Nursery in Uganda. In October 2009 we held a Rainbow of Hands and Hands of Friendship week to raise money for equipment. You can find out more about this week on the news page and see photographs of St Lawrence Nursery and the children here. None of the fundraising could be possible without the parents that make up the fundraising committee, but we always need help and fresh ideas in the form of new committee members. Thanks to all the mums, dads and friends of the Hollies for their support. Recent Fundraisers and Donations We have also received a donation from the Poynton Round Table, which we will be using to buy a new computer for the children and a lap top for the staff to use at Hollies – again, a massive thank you for your generosity. After hosting party in the park last August, Tricia and Mark Penrose were asked to nominate charities to receive a donation from Poynton Rotary. We were very lucky to be named and have received a donation which we are hoping to use to buy trikes and cameras for the pre-school children and a multi-games table and video camera for the after school children. A big thank you goes to Tricia, Mark and Poynton Rotary. Jewellery Parties If anyone would be interested in holding a jewellery party to raise funds for the Hollies - please can you speak to Debbie, Bridget or Karen on 01625 850176.
