Gallery...St Lawrence Nursery

The Hollies Pre-School has supported Afuwa Nangobi and the Maria's Care Nursery in Kamuli since Gerry Hambridge got involved in charity work in Uganda in 2002 after she retired from her position as Supervisor of the Hollies after many years.

As a result Gerry has been instrumental in developing a special relationship between the Hollies and the nursery children in Uganda exchanging drawings, gifts and messages.

Even though the Hollies have had an enormous challenge raising money for their own needs they have always helped their friends in Uganda too.

Over the years the Hollies have refurbished a building used for a nursery, sent out gifts of clothes, books and educational materials and given the opportunity for many children to have a once in a lifetime day trip to and on Lake Victoria and the River Nile!

Here are a selection of photos taken, mostly by Gerry, of the many memories the children of Uganda have shared with the Hollies This includes the making of 'Hands of Friendship' which are exchanged between the Hollies and the nursery.
